Are You Dancing?

Are You Dancing? is a brand-new, tourable, community-devised theatre piece that celebrates the joy of dance in all its forms. At its heart lies the stories of local people, their memories, their music, and the places where dancing has brought them together.

The piece will follow the lives of different generations who have each found joy, love, and identity through dancing. From ballroom to breakdance, disco to folk, the project will capture the evolution of music and movement, weaving together past and present in a powerful celebration of belonging.

Created hand-in-hand with participants, Are You Dancing?  will combine workshops, live DJs, and the voices of community members working with professional actors to create a one-of-a-kind, uplifting experience unique to every place it visits.
